A safe and reliable erythrocyte sedimentation rate determination system
PIPETTING
Carefully mix the prepared blood sample.
Open a test tube with a sample and insert the pipette VACUPETA into it.
Push the pipette to the test-tube bottom; the blood column will automatically rise to its zero position, important for a successful measurement.
Upon completion of the pipetting, the system VACUPETA is fully closed, and any infection completely impossible.
A STANDARDIZED MEASURING PROCEDURE
Insert the pipette with the test tube into a stand.
Position the stand with test tubes in such a way to allow pipettes to stand vertically.
The form of the pipette and sample preparation in the test tube ensures a full compatibility with the Westergreen procedure.
Read the test results after a period of 1 hour.
Upon completion of the test don't disassemble the system; dispose the pipette together with the test tube in accordance with the laboratory regulations.
ACCESSORIES
For the manual measuring use the pipette VACUPETA 3.02.1.7 with a printed measuring scale and the pipette stand 3.02.9.1.
Set up the system according to the instructions and don't forget: the reading of the result has to be taken exactly 1 hour after the pipette has been put into the stand.
An automated ESR analyzer utilizing VACUPETA pipettes 3.03.1.7 is also available.
For best results we recommend using VACUTUBE ESR 4.03.1.3 vacuum blood collection test tube.
The test-tube vacuum and the prescribed quantity of sodium citrate ensure an appropriate mixing ratio and by this means a precise measurement.
Minimum patient's discomfort:
only 1.6 ml blood is required!
Blood-sampling is performed exactly the same way as for other blood examinations.
